Day 2 - Asian Civilization Museum & NYP

We got off at Raffles station, where we were first shown Singapore's' Wall street. We then walked towards the Asian Civilization Museum. Along the way, we had a look inside The Fulltron Hotel, checking out the amazing Koi pond inside.

When we arrived at the Museum, we were given a pencil, clipboard and set off to do the task we were set in the morning.

Walking around the Museum, there were so many beautiful Asian artefacts but it was a bit tricky trying to find out what was a common trait amongst the different cultures displayed there.

About 45 minutes later, we were grouped up and a guide guided us around, giving quite an explanation on the artifacts. It was interesting, but in my opinion, the guide was giving us interesting yet irrelevant info for our set task.

Afterwards, we headed to City Hall for lunch.

Then after lunch, we headed for NYP (NanYang Polytechnic) uni of Design. We worked with the students there to create packaging for some toothpicks. We had to create two different prototypes and the design had to reflect both Australian and Singaporean culture. We spent to much time brainstorming and in the end created one prototype but we explained what the Second prototype would be.

Looks like a matchbox LOL
After wards, we were treated to some refreshments and then presented out product, followed by a tour of the Design studio.

These bags were printed beautifully and where bags handed out at opening day of the uni.
Such a shame that they were not purchasable.
